Unless otherwise noted, ThinkPad Proven products are certified to work on the

Designed to be capable of receiving data at up to 56Kbps with compatible
phone line and server equipment, and transmitting data at up to 31.2Kbps. Public
networks currently limit download speeds to about 53Kbps. Actual speeds vary
and are often less than the maximum.

maximum possible.

Up to 4x CD-RW write speed; up to 4x CD-R write speed, variable read rate (up to
20x max). Actual playback speed will vary and is often less than the maximum
possible. The read and write results of the CD-RW drive depends on the quality
and characteristics of the CD-R and CD-RW media used. Poor results may be
obtained with some media suppliers.
